Without fighting since March 2015, when he crashed André Fili, the runner-up of TUF Brasil 1 Geoffrey Pepey He already has a date set to return to the octagon. Himself Pepey announced, through his official social media profiles, that he will face American Darren Elkins at UFC Fight Night Chicago, scheduled for July 23rd.

After losing the TUF final to Ron Jason and suffering three defeats in four fights, the Ceará native is experiencing his best phase in the octagon and has three victories, all by technical knockout or submission.
Darren Elkins, 31 years old, has a record of 20 wins and five losses. The American is coming off two straight victories over Chas Skelly and Robert Whiteford. Furthermore, Elkins can be considered an “expert on Brazil”. “The Damage”, as he is known, has already faced three Brazilian fighters in his career and two of them in his last four fights – in the defeat to Hacran Dias and the victory over lucas mineiro.
UFC Fight Night Chicago takes place on July 23rd and has no main event yet. So far the card has already confirmed the presence of two other Brazilians: the lightweight Alex Cowboy and heavyweight Luiz Henrique KLB.
