Protagonist of the big bomb that hit the world of MMA this week, Conor McGregor Apparently he hasn't changed his training routine. The Irishman, cut off from the fight he would do against Nate diaz at UFC 200, he appeared training normally at the Mjolnir MMA gym, in Reykjavik, Iceland.
In a video released by the gym itself on Facebook, the UFC featherweight champion trained in grappling with fellow Ultimate fighter Gunnar Nelson, his teammate. Members of SBG Ireland are carrying out collective training in the city as Nelson faces Albert Tumenov on May 8 at UFC Rotterdam.
According to the video description, the training took place at night local time, that is, shortly after McGregor wrote the controversial message on Twitter in which he announced his retirement. A few hours later, the UFC announced that McGregor was withdrawn from UFC 200 for refusing to attend a press conference this Friday (22), as the fighter preferred to remain in Iceland training.
