After Lyoto's controversy, Henderson should face Hector Lombard at UFC 199

A duel between the North American and Cuban is being scheduled for the event on June 4th, in California

No opponent in UFC Tampa and cut from the event after the doping controversy Lyoto Machida, released this Wednesday afternoon (13), the veteran Dan Henderson must return to the octagon quickly. Hendo is being considered to be part of the UFC 199 card and face the Cuban Hector Lombard at the June event.

The information was released by the North American website “Sherdog”. According to the publication, the duel has not yet been officially concluded, with the fighters still to sign the contract. This, in fact, will be the last fight of Henderson's current agreement with Ultimate. The veteran, who is now 45 years old, has not guaranteed that he will renew his contract with the organization.

Dan Henderson has a professional record of 31 wins and 14 losses in MMA. Already Hector Lombard, seven years younger than Hendo, has a record of 34 wins, five losses, one draw and two unsuccessful fights. The Cuban-born Australian is coming off a defeat against Neil Magny last March.

UFC 199 takes place on June 4th, at The Forum gym, in Inglewood, in the metropolitan region of Los Angeles (USA). In the main fight of the night, Chris Weidman tries to regain the middleweight belt against his tormentor Luke Rockhold. In the co-main fight, Dominick Cruz faces Urijah faber in the trilogy, winning the Ultimate bantamweight title.
