“Basically, if the B sample comes back with a positive result, I will have to explain myself. I know my manager and lawyers are thinking 'We have to find out what you ate and everything you put in your system in the last six weeks'. But this is very difficult. Ask my wife, I barely remember which car is at the front door most of the time. There is no way to. I do not remember. I don't record these things. Most of the time I don't even know where I'm going to eat until five minutes before leaving. (…) So, basically, this (having positive doping confirmed) means retirement for me. I don’t see any other way to deal with this,” Mir said on the “Phone Booth Fighting” podcast.

Furthermore, Mir revealed other sanctions resulting from the process, which he has been suffering since the results of the exam became public. “Two years of suspension… I was supposed to be on FOX, in the pre-fight and post-fight programs, this weekend. When USADA left my house, an hour later, I even spoke to my wife; 'Am I going to FOX? What do I do?'. The UFC responded for me. I got a call saying that while I'm suspended, I can't comment or do any kind of work on this aspect. Basically, for the next two years”, he concluded.

Frank mir, now 36 years old, has a professional MMA record of 18 wins and 11 losses. Former lineal and interim heavyweight champion, Mir is currently going through a turbulent moment in his career and is coming off six defeats in his last eight fights.
