Rafael Dos Anjos challenges Nurmagomedov to fight at UFC 200

Scheduled to return to the Octagon on April 16th after spending two years away due to a series of injuries, the Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov ended up being left without an opponent and was cut from the UFC Tampa after your opponent leaves Tony Ferguson in time. The lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, however, has a plan to resolve Nurmagomedov's situation and challenged his rival to a duel at UFC 200 in July.

“I'm sorry to hear that (Tony) Ferguson is out. Khabib Nurmagomedov, we have unfinished business, I will be ready in July (the month of UFC 200, which takes place on the 9th)”, wrote the Brazilian on his official profile on Twitter, also making a point of tagging Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta – president and one of the owners of the UFC, respectively.

The Russian quickly responded to Dos Anjos' message, but, instead of accepting or rejecting the challenge, he preferred to provoke the Brazilian. “I believe it was clear (who is the best) to everyone the last time we faced each other). Or is the 'fake title' still torturing you?”, countered Khabib.

On that occasion, Khabib dominated the Brazilian for three rounds and achieved yet another victory for his undefeated professional record in MMA. Since then, however, Rafael has turned things around, won five consecutive victories and won the UFC lightweight belt.
