UFC confirms Brazilian Buscapé and six other fights for event in Ottawa

UFC Fight Night Ottawa, scheduled for June 18th, in the Canadian capital, received the addition of a true “package” of announced fights. In total, there were seven new fights confirmed, including the presence of former TUF Brasil participant Leandro Buscapé.

Leandro Buscapé, 30 years old and with a professional MMA record of 19 wins, three losses, one draw and one fight without result, will face home athlete Jason Saggo, whose record is eleven wins and two losses.

In addition to the duel between Buscapé, the other six fights confirmed for the event were: Steve Bosse x Sean O'Connell, Elias Theodorou x Sam alvey, Misha Cirkunov x Ion cutelaba, Olivier Aubin-Mercier x Thibault Gouti, Alex Garcia x Colby covington and Tamdan McCrory x Krzysztof Jotko.

Another change was that the event, which was expected to take place at the Canadian Tire Center (gym for the NHL's Ottawa Senators ice hockey team), will take place at the TD Place Arena, a gym with capacity for 10 fans.

PUBLICITY:

UFC Fight Night Ottawa will have as its main fight the duel between the Canadian Rory McDonald and the North American Stephen Thompson, respectively first and second placed in the welterweight category ranking.
