Nate diaz derrotou Conor McGregor at UFC 196, at the beginning of the month, and will be able to repeat the dose even more easily if the rematch gets off the ground. At least that's what the American fighter's mocking coach, Richard Perez, guarantees, who believes that his pupil should “dominate” a likely second meeting between the fighters.

At UFC 196, Diaz agreed to substitute Rafael dos Anjos on short notice to face McGregor. After sweating in the first round, suffering from McGregor's blows, Diaz turned the tables in the second round and won by submission.
Perez stated that the rematch is not yet official, but was confident if that is the UFC's plan. “Nothing has been signed yet. Nate found out he could get the rematch, so that was fine. When he is fit and injury-free, he dominates. He dominates easily. McGregor had thorough training and even went up in weight to get stronger. Nate was enjoying life, eating and drinking. If in two weeks he dominated the guy who was undefeated [in the UFC], what do you think if he has three months of training? McGregor has never really seen Nate in good shape,” he analyzed on the “Submission Radio” podcast.
The coach, in fact, insinuated that the Irishman may have fought after using banned substances. “If you go from 66 to 77 kg, you will have some fat. On the waist or somewhere. He didn't have any fat, it was just muscle. How can you gain so much muscle in two weeks? It looks like he had the help of some substance to grow,” he stated.
According to the North American press, McGregor and Diaz are expected to rematch at the historic UFC 200 event, on July 9th.
