The soap opera involving the possible return of Georges St Pierre the UFC may be close to ending. According to Renzo Gracie, the Canadian has already decided to resume his career and should officially announce his return to fighting soon.

Renzo, GSP's jiu-jitsu coach at different times in the former UFC champion's career, stated that the athlete is willing to return to high-level competition and once again hold the welterweight belt. “He will come back, for sure. The best thing this boy does in life is compete. Look how long he was champion”, declared Gracie, in an interview with the podcast “The MMA Hour”.

The jiu-jitsu black belt believes that St. Pierre has all the physical and technical conditions to once again become the number one fighter in the world. “For a long time he would leave Canada at dawn, take the bus to New York, train all day and return at night. A champion isn't born like that, out of nowhere, and Georges has all the tools to be champion again. He is 100% healthy, in incredible physical shape, and will definitely announce soon that he will be back in the game,” he commented.

GSP has been the frequent target of speculation regarding a fight at UFC 200, a historic event that will take place on July 9th. The Canadian hasn't fought since November 2013 and left the sport still as champion of the welterweight category (up to 77 kg).
