“I have to be happy for Urijah. I have a friendship with the guy, it will be a cool story if he goes there and beats Cruz, winning his belt in his eighth chance, or whatever number. It would be a really cool way for him to end his UFC career. So, I'm going to root for him, even with all this drama going on, this talk about him and me. I still hope he wins the fight, I like him much more than Cruz”, said TJ, on the program “The MMA Hour”.

Despite the friendlier words towards Faber, Dillashaw preferred to bet on Cruz as the winner of the fight, but not without taking a dig at his last opponent. “Cruz is not very respectful and is quite an asshole. But Cruz will win, for sure. He is quite athletic for Faber, who plays very planted. It's kind of crazy that they still don't understand the way Cruz fights. He has two weapons and that’s basically it”, he said.

At 30, TJ Dillashaw He has a professional record of 12 wins and three losses. As he will not be entitled to an immediate title rematch, after being defeated by Dominick Cruz in January, Dillashaw already challenged the Brazilian Raphael Assunção, who beat him in October 2013 in a controversial split decision.
