Multi-time jiu-jitsu champion Gabi Garcia migrated to MMA at the end of last year and debuted in the new modality with a victory over Lei'D Tapa in the first edition of Rizin FF, an event that has been known as 'New PRIDE'. Now, Gabi will have her second fight as a professional in mixed martial arts, also at Rizin, in April.
The Brazilian's opponent will be Russian Anna Malyukova, also a jiu-jitsu black belt, in an event scheduled for April 17th. The fight will be valid in the light heavyweight category (up to 93 kg). Information about the confrontation was published on the website of the “Combate” channel.
Rizin FF held its first event at the end of 2015 and was attended by Kazushi Sakuraba, Gabi Garcia, Shinya Aoki and Fedor Emelianenko. In this second edition, the confrontation between Gabi Garcia and Anna Malyukova will be the co-main fight of the card, which will be headlined by the grappling duel between Kazushi Sakuraba and Wanderlei Silva.
