Two Brazilians will be in action at Bellator 33, an event that takes place on the 21st in Philadelphia. While the São Paulo Wilson reis will face Lithuanian Deividas Taurosevicius on the main card of the show, Gaucho Eduardo Guedes will face North American Chris Liguori on the preliminary card.
Reis has 10 wins and two losses in MMA, being a former bantamweight champion of the now defunct EliteXC. In his last fight, held on May 13 of this year, he was defeated by his compatriot Patrício “Pitbull” Freire in a unanimous decision by the judges, in the semifinals of the Bellator bantamweight GP.
His opponent, Deividas Taurosevicius, has 12 wins and four losses on his record. The Lithuanian will make his Bellator debut after a short stint in the WEC, where he recorded two wins and one loss. Taurosevicius was defeated in his last fight by the American LC Davis by majority decision of the judges at WEC 47, held in March this year.
In the other fight of the event that will feature Brazilian participation, lightweight Eduardo Guedes will defend his six-fight unbeaten record against North American Chris Liguori. This edition of Bellator will also feature a middleweight title fight between two Americans. Current champion Lyman Good will face Ben Askren in his first title defense at the event.
