The fifth edition of First Class Fight begins to take shape. The event that takes place on October 23rd, at the Mauro Pinheiro gym, in Ibirapuera, had last-minute casualties, but the injured athletes were replaced in time.
One of the casualties, Eliene Pit, suffered a torn knee ligament and will be replaced by Samuel Quito in the fight against Flávio Álvaro.
“Samuel comes from great fights and has a record of eight wins and just one defeat”, explained Tiago Cruz, partner at FCF.
Who also has a new opponent is Adriano Maciel. He would face Bruno Carioca, who also ended up getting injured during training and will be replaced by Matheus Serafim.
One of the most anticipated fights had to be postponed. Pedro Iriê ended up suffering a cervical injury and Leandro Batata was left without an opponent.
“We didn’t find a suitable replacement for Batata in the up to 84 kg category, as we prefer to maintain the high level of our event”, stated Roberto Godoi, creator of the FCF.
On the other hand, a new fight was confirmed for the event card, as revealed by Tiago Cruz.
“Another change will be the entry of the very tough athlete from São Paulo, Alexandre Bezerra, known as Popó. He comes from two big victories in the USA and after this season abroad, he accepted the challenge of fighting in the FCF again, the event that launched him. Popó will face Luiz Rogério, from the Barbosa team.” Check out the full show card
