Announced as Strikeforce's new signing, the heavyweight Josh barnett was the target of harsh criticism from Dana White. Speaking to the North American website MMA Fighting, the UFC president stated that the fighter refuses to recognize his mistakes.
“We all make mistakes, but what matters is how you deal with them. You get a guy like Josh Barnett. This guy tested positive three times and denies each time saying he didn’t take anything,” said Dana, in reference to the fighter’s anti-doping tests.
“He (Barnett) gave an interview last week saying, 'I don't care about anyone, I just care about myself. I have some fans, but I don't fight for them, I fight for myself'. He has no remorse,” he snapped. Dana White also made a point of highlighting that Barnett, who was once the UFC heavyweight champion, will never fight for the organization again.
“These are the type of guys I have zero tolerance for and that's why he's not in the UFC and never will be”, concluded the big man.
