Chael Sonnen could be suspended and rematch against Anderson postponed
The MMA world woke up surprised this Sunday, because one of the most anticipated rematches by UFC fans could be postponed. The announcement was made in the early hours of today (19) by George Dodd, manager of the California State Athletic Commission, who carried out the test on all fighters who participated in UFC-117.
“(Sonnen) received the notice yesterday,” said Dodd, speaking to the North American website Sherdog.com.
The banned substance tested by Sonnen has not yet been released, but if the test is confirmed, the fighter's suspension could range from six months to two years.
