Retired from fighting and suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission after being caught twice in surprise drug tests, the former middleweight and light heavyweight title challenger Chael Sonnen may be returning to MMA. According to the loudmouth's manager, however, the return will only happen if a sufficiently interesting fight motivates him to step into the Octagon again.
“I firmly believe that if the right fight comes along and the offer is good, the Chael Sonnen will jump at the chance to fight again. He is competitive like no other”, guaranteed Mike Roberts, the athlete's agent, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”.
Sonnen turns 39 in April and hasn't fought since November 2013, when he was knocked out by Rashad evans in the co-main fight of UFC 167 – an event that marked Ultimate’s 20th anniversary. In his career, Sonnen has a record of 28 wins, 14 losses and one draw.
