Last Saturday (27), Anderson Silva returned to the UFC and suffered a controversial defeat against Michael Bisping in England. However, the former champion could make a quick return to the octagon to try to erase the setback. “Spider” is in the UFC’s plans for the event that will be held in Brazil, on May 14th.

According to information gathered by the “Combate” channel website, Anderson should be selected to fight in the country, especially if the attraction actually takes place at the Arena da Baixada stadium, in Curitiba, as the former champion will be able to attract fans to the venue .
Two opponents are considered for the veteran: Gegard Mousasi, who defeated Thales leites the same as last Saturday, or Tim Kennedy, who hasn't fought since September 2014. However, nothing has been officially confirmed so far.
If Anderson actually makes the card, the UFC could transfer the fight between Vitor belfort e Ronaldo Jacare, already confirmed for the attraction, for some other event. This would happen so that there wouldn't be too many big fights on the same show.
The May 14th event should be called UFC 198, with Fabricio Werdum x Stipe Miocic in the main fight. The duel will put the organization's heavyweight belt at stake.
