After venting in the octagon and insinuating that the judges and jurors of the UFC London would be corrupt, due to the controversies in their fight against Michael Bisping, Anderson Silva spoke out publicly for the first time and adopted a much milder tone. On social media, Anderson shared a thank you to his fans and left his message about overcoming adversity.
“Thank you to all Brazilians for supporting us! Never confuse defeats with failure, nor victories with success. In the life of a champion there will always be some defeats, just as in the life of a loser there will always be defeats. The difference is that while champions grow in defeats, losers become comfortable in victories”, said the text released by Spider.
About to turn 41, Anderson Silva has a professional record of 33 wins, seven losses and one fight without result. Spider hasn't won an Ultimate victory since October 2012, when he beat Stephen Bonnar in Rio de Janeiro. Since then, there have been three setbacks for Spider and a fight that he even won against Nick Diaz, but whose result was annulled due to his positive anti-doping tests.
