Current middleweight champion, and about to stage a rematch against Chris Weidman, Luke Rockhold believes that he will not face the biggest challenge of his career. During a question and answer session in London, Rockhold said that the most difficult fight of his career took place back in his Strikeforce days, when he faced the Brazilian Ronaldo Jacare.
“The fight against Jacaré was the toughest of my career. I had a long downtime (after that fight), it was a five-round war”, said the champion, who also spoke about the possibility of facing the protagonists of the English card, Anderson Silva e Michael Bisping. “I have a past with Bisping and would love to face Anderson Silva. But, if Bisping wins, it will be difficult to deny him a title shot,” he guaranteed.
After winning the middleweight belt in December last year, with a knockout over Chris Weidman, Luke Rockhold defends his title for the first time against the same opponent. The rematch between Rockhold and Weidman will take place in June, at UFC 199.
