Free from the contract he still had with the UFC, Wanderlei Silva made his first public appearance for Bellator at a meeting with fans and an autograph night in the city of Houston, Texas (USA).

The Brazilian was alongside Phil Davis, Kurt Angle, Liam McGeary and Tito Ortiz in a meeting with the public held in preparation for Bellator 149, an event that will be held this Friday (19) in the same city and will be headlined by the duel between Royce gracie and Ken Shamrock.

Wanderlei's agreement with Bellator, however, still does not cover the Brazilian's participation in fights in the organization. Wand is suspended by the Nevada Commission until May 2017 for refusing to take a surprise drug test during his UFC days.

Wanderlei had been announced as Bellator's poster boy last year, but was prevented from participating in the company's promotional activities as he still had a current contract with the UFC. In January, the Brazilian was released from the agreement.

PUBLICITY:

“A thousand photos and a thousand autographs today! It was a long night, a lot of people at the autograph night. Good to feel the strength of the fans, I needed you! Soon we will have news. F*** this false commission”, wrote the Brazilian.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
