Ortiz then allegedly grabbed the woman and took her phone. In an interview with the North American website, the alleged victim stated that she was scared to the point of “fearing for her life”. The fighter was approached to give his version, but did not speak out.

Ortiz was not arrested for the incident, but was booked for assault and bad behavior. The woman stated that she is still considering the possibility of taking legal action against the athlete.

Today at 41 years of age, Tito Ortiz is one of the main names in UFC history. He remained light heavyweight champion after five defenses, a record that was only broken in the category in 2013, by Jon Jones, which reached six after the fight with Alexander Gustafson.

Problems with justice are nothing new for the fighter. Ortiz was involved in several episodes of domestic assault while he was married to former pornographic film actress Jenna Jameson. In 2014, he was arrested after being involved in a car accident while drunk.
