Coming off eight consecutive victories in the UFC, the featherweight Max Holloway dreams big in his plans for his next fight inside the octagon. The 24-year-old fighter wants to face the former champion José Aldo in a duel valid for the interim belt in the under-66 kg division.

The linear champion of the category is Conor McGregor, who dethroned Aldo in December last year. However, the Irishman left the featherweight division on hold, as, in his next fight, he will move up to lightweight in an attempt to become champion once again.

Therefore, Holloway suggested a fight that would be worth the provisional title of the category. “Why not make an interim belt between Aldo and Holloway? That would be ideal. He was the champion for a long time, so I don't see why not”, pondered the Hawaiian, in a press conference reproduced on the “FOX Sports” website.

The winning streak placed Holloway in fourth place in the rankings, behind Chad Mendes, Frankie Edgar and Aldo himself. His most recent defeat was against McGregor, in August 2013.
