Last Wednesday (27), José Aldo was very firm in giving the UFC an ultimatum that his next fight in the octagon be a rematch against Conor McGregor for the organization's featherweight belt. However, the request was not accepted by Ultimate's president, Dana White, who stated that a new duel between the Brazilian and the Irishman would be unfeasible at the moment.

Aldo went to his Instagram account and wrote a long statement, including sending a message directly to White for him to “keep his word”, referring to a probable immediate rematch previously agreed upon. The director, on the other hand, recalls the turbulent trajectory of the rivalry between Aldo and McGregor until the duel took place.
“It's that story: we had the fight the first time, he [Aldo] got hurt and had to give up. Then we got married again and it was over in 13 seconds. It's difficult to do this fight again now”, stated White, in an interview with the English website “Joe.co.uk”.
However, White understands why Aldo wants a rematch with McGregor so much. “Well, the problem is that everyone wants this fight. From flyweights to heavyweights, everyone wants to face Conor McGregor. It’s the fight that makes the money,” she said.
