Carina Damm - First from left to right - goes in search of the belt
The tenth edition of Strikeforce Challengers takes place today in Phoenix, United States. The event will feature the women's GP in the welterweight category (up to 61 kilos), which will feature Brazilian Carina Damm. During the weigh-in held yesterday, the semi-final duels were announced, where the Tupiniquim black belt begins the fight for the belt against Japanese Hitomi Akano. If she achieves victory, she will face the winner of the duel between Maiju Kujala and Miesha Tate.
Strikeforce Challengers will also feature the debut of Randy Couture's son, Ryan Couture, in the organization. Check out the full show card:
