Mal was released from his UFC contract and Wanderlei Silva has already entered the sights of the organizers of the epoch-making event, the now-defunct PRIDE. According to Jerry Millen, vice-president of “Rizin”, a Japanese event that has been considered the success of the late organization, the hiring of Wand is a real possibility and the plans are for the “Mad Dog” to face none other than the legendary Fedor Emelianenko.

In addition to Wanderlei, the director also mentioned the name of the former UFC champion and star of telecatch Brock Lesnar as Emelianenko's future opponent. “If Brock wants to fight, we will certainly try that. I know Fedor, we do. I know he's in WWE, I think he still has a UFC contract. They will never allow that to happen, but if he doesn't have a connection with the UFC, it could definitely happen”, he assured.
The next edition of Rizin Fighting Federation is scheduled for April 17th, at Nippon Gaishi Hall, in Nagoya, Japan. So far there is no confirmed duel for the card or indication of which fighters will be part of the fight night .
