McGregor teases Rafael dos Anjos: 'Just another easy night's work'

The owner of the featherweight belt opened the proceedings by saying that the duel against the Brazilian, champion of the lightweight division, will just be 'an easy night's work'.

The fight between Conor McGregor and Rafael dos Anjos will headline UFC 197, an event that takes place on March 5th, in Las Vegas. The Irishman, who leaves the featherweight division to challenge the Brazilian, lightweight champion, will attempt a historic feat: being the only athlete in history to hold two UFC belts in different categories simultaneously.

Conor McGregor, 27 years old, has a record of 19 wins and two losses. The Irishman debuted in Ultimate in April 2013 and in just over two years he became one of the event's biggest stars. In his last appearance in the octagon, McGregor shocked the world and dethroned the Brazilian José Aldo with a knockout in just 13 seconds in the main fight of UFC 194.

In its turn, Rafael dos Anjos, 31 years old, has a professional record of 25 wins and seven losses. The Brazilian became lightweight champion in March 2015, beating Anthony Pettis in a unanimous decision by the judges. In his last fight, on December 19th, Dos Anjos ran over Donald Cerrone in just 53 seconds and defended his title for the first time.
