UFC president Dana White announced this Saturday the official date for the organization's heavyweight title fight. Brock Lesnar will defend his belt against Cain Velazquez at UFC-121, on October 23, in Anaheim, California.
Initially, the fight was expected for UFC-119 or UFC-120, but Lesnar asked for more time, as his son will be born next month and he wants to spend this period with his family.
Brock is coming off an exciting submission victory over Shane carwin at UFC-116. Before his triumph, Lesnar was away from the Octagon for more than a year due to diverculitis and mononucleosis. Velasquez, in his last fight, knocked out Rodrigo Minotauro at UFC-110.
