Impact FC held its first edition this morning (Brasília time), in Brisbane, Australia and featured big names in MMA in action. But the show was not good for the Brazilians, of the four Brazilian athletes in action, only Thiago Meller managed to emerge victorious, submitting Jai Bradney with a guillotine choke. Bira Lima was defeated by Jeff Monson in the judges' decision, while Joaquim Mamute lost to Rameau Sokoudjou by TKO in the first round.

In the main fight of the night, the experienced Josh Barnett gave Geronimo Mondragon no chance and knocked out the Brazilian just over two minutes into the fight, after getting a takedown, getting to mount and punishing the Brazilian with ground and pound.
