junior gypsy suffered defeat in the second most important fight of UFC on FOX 17, an event held this Saturday (19) in Orlando, in the United States. The former heavyweight champion was not involved in the fight against alistair overeem and ended up suffering a technical knockout in the second round.

The fight, which featured two of the most aggressive strikers in the UFC, unfolded for the most part in a tepid manner. The athletes dedicated a lot of time to the study, and the first blow was only delivered after more than a minute of activity.

Pushed by the Brazilian fans present in the gym, Cigano seemed to have difficulty finding Overeem's game, who alternated left-handed and right-handed and moved frequently. Little by little the Dutchman began to loosen up his game, delivering a straight left (which opened Cigano's nose to bleed), as well as kicks to the body, thigh and knee.

In the second round, Overeem seemed more comfortable, while Cigano moved forward. The Brazilian kicked more than he usually does, but without causing major setbacks for Overeem. The former champion even cornered Overeem against the fence and delivered big blows to the body, which, however, didn't bother his opponent.

Afterwards, Overeem landed a good left punch on Cigano's chin, who fell stunned. The Dutchman went up to settle the bill, while the Brazilian turned his back trying to get up. It was the cue the referee needed to end the fight, with Overeem winning at 4:43 of the second round.

It was Cigano's third defeat in the UFC, as, until then, he had only lost to Cain Velazquez in title fights. Overeem is already enjoying the Ultimate and achieving his third triumph in a row.

Away from fighting for over a year, Nate diaz returned to the Octagon in style. The younger brother of Nick Diaz overcame Michael Johnson in an electrifying fight, which left the audience present at the Orlando gym on their feet.

The entire fight took place standing up. Diaz relied on his greater wingspan to apply his boxing, while Johnson mixed punches with leg kicks, which at first bothered his opponent. However, from halfway through the fight onwards, Diaz found himself and knew how to impose his game.

PUBLICITY:

The former title challenger's hands began to come in more easily, while Johnson tried to respond out of desperation – he put aside low kicks to throw punches, most of them in the wind. The fight featured good moments from both, but in the end, Diaz won the judges' decision, with a triple score of 29 to 28.

With that, Diaz won again after losing to Rafael dos Anjos in December 2014; Johnson, in turn, lost the second in a row, as he had fallen to Beneil Dariush in a controversial decision by the judges in August.
