Ronaldo Jacare There will certainly be a lot to complain about in the coming days. The first round was marked by a lot of tension. Much stronger physically, Romero managed to shake Jacaré with two blows, even getting a knockdown who took the fight to the ground. Trying to guard, the Brazilian was hit hard in the ground and pound, but managed to resist until the end of the first round.

In the second round, it seemed like the scenario would repeat itself, but Jacaré was close to getting a takedown on the wrestler Olympian, who only didn't go to the ground because he held onto the fence awkwardly. Even so, Jacaré, apparently, was superior and, as a result, would have tied the fight.

In the third round, Jacaré came back even better and, taking advantage of a moment of distraction from his rival, who went to the cage in a frank exchange, managed the takedown and controlled the Cuban until the end of the partial.

At the end of the fight, two referees saw the victory of Yoel romero and only one considered the Brazilian the winner. Thus, Romero won in a split decision.

Demian runs over Gunni and wins the fourth in a row

In a great first round, Demian Maia had complete control of the actions and imposed his jiu-jitsu game, showing that, despite Nelson's credentials (brown belt world champion and ADCC medalist), the Brazilian has one of the best jiu-jitsu games grapple of MMA. Aggressive and versatile, Demian remained on his back for almost the entire period and even came close to submitting with an armbar.

In the second round, more of the same. Despite Gunnar's better start, Demian managed to get a grip and, even with the Icelandic holding on to the fence to avoid falling, he managed to take the fight to the ground once again. At the end of the round, on top, the Brazilian still hurt his rival with good elbows and ended the partial mount.

On the third and final count, more dominance from Demian, mainly with a show of his newest weapon: the ground and pound powerful, with hard elbows towards his training partner Conor McGregor. At the end of 15 minutes, Demian won in a unanimous decision from the judges (30×26, 30×26 and 30×25).
