UFC president Dana White downplayed the businessman's request for Holly holm and insisted that the new women's bantamweight champion's first title defense should be in a rematch with Ronda Rousey, possibly at the historic UFC 200 event in July 2016.

Holm's manager, Lenny Fresquez, asked the UFC for his fighter to face Miesha Tate to follow, as he fears that Rousey will not have the physical conditions to fight so soon. Therefore, Fresquez wants Holm to fight another opponent to avoid being inactive for a long time.
White, who had already confirmed the rematch in the past, mocked the businessman's request and insisted that Holm will return to the octagon against her latest rival. “We are really concerned about your opinion,” White sarcastically told the Los Angeles Times. “It will be Rousey, on July 9, 2016, in the new arena in Las Vegas (USA)”, continued the director.
Considered one of the greatest boxers of all time, Holly holm was also catapulted to success in the world of MMA on November 15th, when she knocked out the then UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey in the main fight of UFC 193. With the triumph, Holly expanded her professional record and left Ronda with 12 wins and one loss.
