UFC president Dana White has already confirmed that the next women's bantamweight title fight will be a rematch between Holly holm e Ronda Rousey. However, if it depends on new champion Holm's manager, the “Jackson's MMA” athlete's first title defense will be against another opponent.

“I'm not sure if Ronda will be ready for a fight in July. She took a beating and I don't think it's in her best interest to take this next fight so quickly. They told me she will be recovered and ready, but Holly needs to be active. We are old school and we believe that the number one ranking is there for a reason. Tate deserves a chance, but it's not up to me to decide. We would like to fight Miesha. We understand that the risks exist, but Holly is a dominant champion and wants to fight the best. Right now, Miesha is the best”, said Lenny Fresquez, in an interview with the “Los Angeles Times”.
