This Sunday (06), the “tour of the title” of the new UFC women's bantamweight champion Holly holm finally arrived in her hometown, Albuquerque (USA) and the celebration could not have happened in greater style, with thousands of people gathering on the streets of New Mexico's largest city to celebrate the achievements of one of her most illustrious daughters.

The “Holm Coming” parade (a pun on the fighter’s name and the North American expression “Home Coming”, which means “Return home”) was organized by the city of Albuquerque and, in addition to passing through the city’s main streets, gathered a crowd for the champion's speech. “Thank you very much for being here today, but not just today, always! I’m not finished yet, we’re still going to remain at the top”, the athlete told her fellow countrymen.

With an undefeated record in MMA, the UFC title (conquered, as a bonus, with an overwhelming knockout over none other than Ronda Rousey), Holly holm, who also has several titles in boxing, can be considered the greatest female athlete in the city of Albuquerque, which is also home to other icons of the sport, such as: former boxer Bob Foster, Olympic gold medalist gymnast Trent Dimas and American football player Arian Foster.
