Dana White confirms rematch between Ronda and Holm

'If Lorenzo and I don't do this rematch, we should lose our fight promoters license', jokes the UFC president

Ronda Rousey, who recently lost the UFC women's bantamweight belt, will be entitled to an immediate rematch and will face the new champion, Holly holm, Next. The guarantor is the president of the largest MMA organization on the planet, Dana White, who apparently had no major doubts about the plan.

According to the director, both he and Lorenzo Fertitta, UFC partner, were sure that a reunion between the two blondes was the right decision to make. “I think that, if we don't do the rematch, Lorenzo and I should lose our fight promoters license. Yes, this fight will happen. I don’t know when, but this fight will happen”, confirmed Dana, in an interview with the North American “ESPN” radio.

The justification for the choice is simple for White. “Ronda Rousey She was undefeated and took the sport to another level, beating the best women in the world in 14 or 30 seconds. So, she deserves a rematch. Holly agrees that she deserves the rematch, so let’s unpack the details,” she explained.

White, however, stated that he still doesn't know when and where the rematch will take place. The first duel between them took place on November 15, in Melbourne, Australia, when Holm shocked the world by knocking out Ronda in the second round, in a dominant performance. The fight had been the main attraction of UFC 193.
