Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Chuck liddell is preparing to return to the Octagon after a streak of four defeats in his last five fights. The “Iceman” will be in the main fight of UFC-115 against former middleweight champion, Rich Franklin and ensures that he is motivated to fight.
“I respect Rich and I think he is a bigger challenge (than Tito), for sure, that motivates me to get in the gym and train to be well prepared”, says Chuck, referring to Tito Ortiz, who was to be his opponent, but was unable to fight due to an injury. The UFC Hall of Famer also took the opportunity to say that he is not thinking about retirement after this fight and that he still wants to fight for the title.
“I have to show myself ready for the show, otherwise I'll pay for it, but I don't see that as a problem. This psychological pressure is difficult for some guys, but I want to get to the end of the fight and win, I want to get back in the race for the title….That's what I want, so let's see what happens”, analyzed Liddell, speaking to the American website Sherdog .
