The third fight on the UFC Fight Night 79 card, an event held in Seoul, South Korea, this Saturday (28), ended in a thankless way for Yao Zhikui. In the first seconds of his fight with Fredy Serrano, the Chinese fighter suffered a technical knockout after injuring his right elbow.
Zhikui had been grabbed by Serrano, who was trying to take his rival to the ground. The Chinese then used his arm to cushion the impact of the fall. Bad idea: during the movement, Zhikui saw his arm “turn” by dislocating his elbow, which ended the fight prematurely.
This was Zhikui's third fight in the UFC, being his second defeat. His only triumph came over Nolan Ticman, in Manila, Philippines, in May of this year.
