The boxing world is in mourning. Former cruiser world champion, O'Neil Bell, was signed in the city of Atlanta (USA) last Thursday (26). Local authorities revealed that the Jamaican boxer, who was 41 years old, was shot twice after being robbed while jumping from a bus.

According to the police report, two men were involved in the robbery. Authorities published a video that may help identify one of the suspects. Another man was also a victim of the robbery and is hospitalized in serious condition.
The career
O'Neil Bell held four belts from different organizations between 2000 and 2008. The fighter's main achievements were the World Boxing Association (WBA) cruiserweight belt, the World Boxing Council (WBC) and the Federation International Boxing (FBI)
“Supernova”, as he was known, ended his career in 2011, with a victory over American Rico Cason, by technical knockout in the first round. In his career, Bell accumulated a record of 27 wins, four losses and one draw.
