After achieving his first victory in MMA, the gold medalist judoka at the Beijing Olympics, Satoshi Ishii, he already has a date set to return to the ring. The Japanese faces Myles Tyanes at X-1: Nations Collide, an event that takes place on June 4, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
In his MMA debut, at Dynamite 2009, Ishii was defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges by the experienced Hidehiko Yoshida, also a gold medalist at the Olympics – Barcelona 1992 – but the heavyweight managed to recover when he submitted Tafa Misipati with an arm-bar, at Xplosion, held in May, in New Zealand.
