Spirits were high at the official weigh-in for the main fights of UFC 193, an event that will take place this Saturday (14) in Australia. Surprisingly, Ronda Rousey e Holly holm They almost started a fight after stepping off the scale on Friday night.
During the promotional events for the fight, both maintained respectful speeches. However, right after the weigh-in, the two came face to face and almost “came out”. UFC president Dana White had to separate the fighters, who seemed to want to fight right there.
Visibly surprised by what happened, Holm avoided continuing the confusion in an interview. “I'm here to shock the world. I have respect for her, but I’m a different fighter”, said the challenger.
Ronda, irritated, was more aggressive. “I want to go after her right now. She was the one who put her hand on my face. This question of her being sweet and gentle is not the truth. She's not the first one who says she's going to hit me, but she loses. I will show this in the fight”, declared the champion.

The athletes in the co-main fight were also aggressive. The UFC strawweight champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, had a hot attitude against the challenger, Valérie Létourneau. The two exchanged several provocations with their faces pressed together, and were also separated by Dana White.
“It’s the most important fight of my life. For me, my daughter, and everyone who has been with me this entire time. I want to make them all proud”, said the Canadian. The champion was briefer: “Tomorrow is my lucky day, and I’m going to do my best.”
