Brazilian party at Strikeforce Heavy Artillery, event held this Saturday in St Louis, United States. Of the six Brazilian athletes who performed at the show, five left the octagon with victories. Among all the Brazilians, only Vitor Shaolin ended up being beaten by Lyle Beerbohm in the judges' split decision.

Kiko France finishes quickly

The first Brazilian to take action, Francisco “Kiko” France was quick on the trigger and submitted Lee Brousseau. Right at the beginning of the fight, the Tupiniquim athlete took the fight to the ground, got to his back and finished the duel with a rear naked choke 1 minute and 27 seconds into the fight.

Rafael Feijão knocks out

Facing Antwain Britt, Rafael Feijão found it difficult to match his game against the American who worked well in the clinch. However, with just over three minutes the Brazilian managed to impose his best striking and scored a beautiful knockdown, ending the punishment with quick ground and pound

 

Roger submits Kevin Randleman.

Returning to MMA after a two-year break, Roger gracie felt the lack of experience in striking, however, the black belt managed to use his wingspan well and land good jabs on the American. After controlling the distance and winning the first round, the Brazilian applied a beautiful knee in the second round, taking Randleman to the ground, on his home turf, Roger arrived in mount, dominated the back and finished with a beautiful rear-naked choke at 4 minutes and 10 seconds of the second round.

 

Jacaré passes Joey Villasenor

Showing great evolution in his game, Ronaldo Jacaré applied a blistering pace in the fight against Villasenor. With good movement, punches and an arsenal of takedowns, the black belt punished his opponent with ground and pound in the first two rounds. In the last round, Jacaré felt tired, but managed to control the fight well, not taking risks and winning the judges' decision.

 

Antonio Pezão wins Andrei Arlovski

Facing the biggest challenge of his career, Antonio Pezão was not intimidated by the former UFC champion. Better at striking, the Brazilian used his boxing strikes well to punish the Belarusian, working well in the clinch and also achieving some good takedowns. Released in the fight, Pezão took a risk by lowering his guard at the end and leading the audience. After three rounds, Brazil won the unanimous decision of the judges.

 

alistair overeem knocks out Rogers and asks for Fedor.

In the main fight of the night, alistair overeem proved the great phase in his career and ran over Brett Rogers, successfully defending the heavyweight belt on the show. At the beginning of the fight, Overeem worked on his hand strikes with good feints and low kicks. After a beautiful fall, the Dutchman punished the challenger until the referee interrupted, thus declaring victory by technical knockout and maintaining an unbeaten run of almost three years. After the fight, Alistair wasted no time and challenged the Russian Fedor Emelianenko to be his next opponent in the organization. Check out the other results from the show:
