With his eye on the K-1 World GP belt, Brazilian Ewerton Teixeira decided to open horizons and seek new training. The kyokushin karate black belt revealed to the blogger SUPER FIGHTS Fernando Cappelli, who moved to the Netherlands where he will exchange with Muay Thai athletes.
“I train at Mejiro Gym, with Andre Mannaart (Remy Bonjasky’s former trainer). From Monday to Friday, we do activities twice a day, both specific to kickboxing, in addition to running once a day. The weight training and physical conditioning part takes place three times a week. On Saturdays, there is also another kickboxing training,” said Ewerton.
“What really helped me the most was sparring with much taller people, which is the trend here. There are a lot of heavyweights to train, and this makes the entire preparation context more focused on what I need for the K-1 disputes”, he added.
