Therefore, the SUPER FIGHTS opens its coverage of the São Paulo event with a very special chat with one of the Brazilian athletes who will be part of the event: the veteran of the 4th season of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil Matheus Nicolau, who faces former reality show participant Bruno Koreia in a duel valid for the bantamweight category.
In a long and relaxed interview, Matheus spoke about his career, his time at the TUF house and, of course, the event in São Paulo. Among the topics covered by the Nova União athlete, a revelation caught attention: Matheus is a fan of “Caipira de Aço” Fábio Maldonado and celebrated the chance to fight on the same card as his idol. “It's an honor to be on the same card as Fábio Maldonado, who is the guy I'm happiest to fight alongside. I'm a big fan of his and I consider him a great personality”, said the fighter.
Furthermore, Matheus spoke about the duel against Koreia and said he believes that, even though he is only 22 years old, he is experiencing the best moment of his career. “I want to show the best Matheus Nicolau that my fans have seen so far. I think I'm much better physically, psychologically and technically, and I'm doing very well with the strategy to face Korea. I believe everything will be fine”, he analyzed.
