After having problems with the weight cut and being forced to move up a category, Brazilian John Lineker debuted in style at bantamweight, knocking out Francisco Rivera. The business card seems to have left a good impression on the new division and caught the attention of Bryan caraway, who challenged “Mãos de Pedra” to a duel in early 2016.

“I really want the fight against Lineker. He's a tough guy. I'm friends with Francisco Rivera, and it was a great fight (between them). He beat Francisco, so I want to go in there and measure strength with him. I wanted to fight in November, but it's good that didn't happen because my ribs are still hurting. So I think it will be in January”, said her boyfriend. Miesha Tate, also mentioning that he would accept a fight against Michael McDonald or Takeya Mizugaki.

At 31, Bryan caraway has a professional record of 20 wins and seven losses, and currently occupies seventh place in the bantamweight rankings. John Lineker, 25 years old, is 12th on the list. The Brazilian has a record of 26 wins and seven losses, coming from three consecutive victories.
