Former rival and fierce critic of Vitor belfort, Luke Rockhold did not forgive the Brazilian after he canceled an interview at the last minute to avoid being questioned about the doping issue. The North American even stated that the Brazilian “cheats on another level” and that he “lives a lie”.

Last Monday (26), Belfort would be interviewed on the podcast “The MMA Hour”, by Canadian journalist Ariel Helwani. However, a few hours before the attraction, Belfort's wife and manager, Joana Prado, sent the reporter a series of demands, including asking that the controversial doping case recently publicized was not brought up in the conversation. Helwani disagreed, and the interview did not take place.

Rockhold did not let the opportunity pass and harshly criticized Belfort. “This guy is living a lie and is trying to cover it up as best he can. Ariel is a tough reporter who asks tough questions and sticks to his principles. I'm glad he didn't accept his demands”, commented the fighter, in an interview with the “Three Amigos” podcast, on the “Bloody Elbow” website.

About Belfort's alleged doping case in 2012, before his fight with Jon Jones, Rockhold didn't seem scared. “Not that I didn’t already know. It wasn't a surprise. He's pumped up, he goes up to 93 kg and is bigger than everyone in that category. No one carries weight like that and transforms. Vitor has been dirty his entire career. The question is not whether he is cheating, but rather how much he is cheating. He is on another level in terms of cheating, he uses everything you can imagine, and it has been like that since he was 19 years old”, said the fighter.

Rockhold and Belfort faced each other in 2013, in Jaraguá do Sul (SC), with Belfort winning by technical knockout in the first round. Since then, the American has won all four of his fights and qualified to compete for the middleweight belt against Chris Weidman, which comes from a victory over Belfort, in May.
