Considered by many to be one of the biggest names in MMA history, the Canadian Georges St Pierre He has been away from the sport for an indefinite period of time since the end of 2013, and is always the target of various speculations about his eventual return to the octagon. According to his training partner and main pupil Rory McDonald, however, GSP would not return to the UFC to retake the welterweight belt for more than half a decade, but to have a few superfights.

“According to what we talked about, he will not fight for the belt again. He will come back for that unique fight that might interest him. That's if GSP comes back... I don't know if he'll do it, but what I know is that, if he does, it will be because he's more interested in super fights”, said the Canadian, during a question and answer session with fans at UFC Dublin, last weekend.

At 34, Georges St Pierre has a professional record of 25 wins and two losses. “Rush”, as he is known, was a two-time UFC welterweight champion and staged one of the organization's biggest upsets in history when he was defeated by Matt Serra, who returned to the event through TUF 4 after being fired in 2007. GPS, however, turned things around, regained the title and kept the belt until the end of 2013, when he retired from MMA.
