It is not uncommon for presenters and celebrities of the most varied genres to challenge MMA fighters, but the result is almost always the same: a quick and relentless beating. And it was no different with the group of Australian comedians “Janoskians” (acronym for “Just Another Name Of Silly Kids In Another Nation Skip”, “Just another name for silly kids in another country, Skip” – a local slang that means “ genuinely Australian”).
Daniel Sahyounie, James Yammouni and Beau, Jai and Luke Brooks faced Miesha in a wrestling match. submission, a form of grappling in which only takedowns, transitions and submissions are valid – without kicks, punches or other blows.
Without much technique, and always making their jokes (like when one of the boys complained that Miesha was “sitting on his face” while the fighter worked in the north-south position), the “Janoskians” were defeated, one by one, in less than two minutes. In the end, the comedians left the fighter's gym with their heads down and defeated, certainly without any reason to be funny.
