Recently, Ryan bader received a fairly direct challenge from Anthony Johnson, who asked for the fight to be held so that it could be decided who will be the next challenger for the UFC light heavyweight belt. However, depending on the TUF 8 champion, the fight shouldn't happen anytime soon.

Bader, who is on a five-fight winning streak in the UFC, aims to fight for the UFC title next, and therefore sees no need to face Johnson before then. This is what his manager, David Martin, defended.
“We have all respect for Anthony Johnson. I think he is a tremendous talent and has good representation. If I were his manager, I would tell him to do exactly that: challenge Ryan bader. Why? Because it's the fastest way to fight for the title. Opportunities to fight for the belt don't grow on trees. But Ryan's focus is on Daniel Cormier, and nothing more. It is not known what will happen to Jon Jones, but today, he is still suspended by the UFC. Until that changes, Ryan has his eye on Daniel Cormier”, he explained, in an interview with the North American website “FOX Sports”.
Daniel Cormier defended the light heavyweight belt for the first time at the beginning of the month, against Alexander Gustafson. The former category champion, Jon Jones, lost his belt and was suspended by the UFC after being involved in a controversial car accident in April.
