Francisco Trevino had a performance to forget at UFC 192, an event held at the beginning of the month in Houston, Texas (USA). To make his situation worse, the athlete ended up failing an anti-doping test, being caught with marijuana on the night of the fight.
Consequently, Trevino was suspended for three months by the Texas Department of Regulatory Affairs, the entity that inspected the event, in addition to being subject to a US$5 fine.
Everything started to go wrong for Trevino right at the weigh-in, when he was almost two kilos over the lightweight division limit (70,3 kg). In the fight, he ended up run over by the new “UFC sweetheart”, Sage Northcutt, who won by knockout in just 57 seconds.
At 33 years old, Trevino has a professional record of 12 wins and two losses, with his two setbacks happening consecutively – in June, he lost to Johnny Case.
