“I don’t just want to be the champion and be satisfied with that. I want to be a lightweight legend. I want to make history in my category. I feel hungrier now. I want to be the best lightweight in history. I feel like this is just the beginning of my legacy”, said the Brazilian, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”. “I'm still 30 years old and I have a lot to do in the category. Things will happen once I get the respect I deserve. My goal is to keep my belt, work hard and make my friends and team proud of me,” he continued.

The fight between Dos Anjos and Cerrone will be a rematch, as the Brazilian defeated the American in 2013. The fight will be the main attraction of UFC on FOX 17, which will also feature a clash between heavyweights junior gypsy e alistair overeem.
