The “California Kid” disapproved of the champion's move and appeared upset with what happened. “It was a strange situation, I didn’t expect it. He talked about how this was a good financial opportunity or whatever… You've got to be kidding. I heard TJ saying he was better looked after at university than here [Team Alpha Male]. This is ridiculous,” said Faber, in an interview with the “Stud Radio” podcast.

Faber said he can't imagine training with Dillashaw again. “He said he wants to come back and still be part of our team, but he made the decision as an adult. He abandoned the family that made him grow up, those who played a big part in his success,” he added.

Dillashaw will make his third title defense in January, when he faces the former champion Dominick Cruz in Boston (USA).
