The biggest MMA event in Latin America, the Jungle Fight is one of the tournaments around the planet that is supporting the “Rizin Fighting Federation”, an event run by Nobuyuki Sakakibara, which has been called the “New PRIDE”, due to the director's connection with the now defunct Japanese event. Now, Jungle president Wallid Ismail gave details of the partnership with Sakakibara and announced that he will promote a tournament that will give the winner a place in the RFF.

“We will have three fights up to 100 kg at Jungle, and the champion will come to fight at 'Novo Pride', as will Maike (Linhares, bantamweight champion). However, this champion needs to be tough and show a good performance in the Jungle Arena. This is very important and will be a demand from the Japanese. The guy needs to look for the knockout or submission. I am very happy that President Sakakibara confirmed his presence at Jungle 82. It is very important that we open our eyes to this new stage of the world circuit”, said Wallid, through his advisor.
